Blog Post Title One
SYSTEMS OF POWER need a re-brand.
I propose we start calling them what they really are: SYSTEMS OF PEOPLE.
Because these systems are made of that —PEOPLE. Much more than they are made of POWER —actually.
Moreover, "SYSTEMS OF POWER" make them seem like some universal, insurmountable force that can’t be challenged or revised. But here’s the key: SYSTEMS OF POWER are made of PEOPLE. People can change, and act accordingly.
When you say SYSTEMS OF POWER you don’t think PEOPLE, you think THING —a MACHINE. But machines are not living things. If a piece "acts up" the machine breaks, and the piece needs to be replaced with one that works exactly as the original.
People are not pieces, because we are living things, and we need to start seeing SYSTEMS OF PEOPLE as such. As evolving structures that can —and should— change by virtue of the people within them.
So the same machine that generates one outcome today could generate a completely different one tomorrow.
People like Elon Musk and many in Silicon Valley want you to believe that the only path to structural change in government is the complete and utter destruction of systems—so they can replace them with something built in their own image. Conveniently, these new systems always benefit them.
The fact that their only proposed way forward is to "start over from scratch" is a testament to their own incompetence, lack of creativity, poor problem-solving skills, and absolute failure as communicators and leaders.
Competent people don’t need to “break things” to make them work better. They know how to improve things without reeking havoc.
Creative people don’t reduce complex issues to simple ones that begin and end with “my way is the only way, and anything else must go.” A true creative—an artist—conceptualizes elegant solutions for complex problems. Now, tell me: is tearing down a historic building just because some of its functions are outdated an elegant solution? No, it is not. Any intelligent architect could tell you that.
The ability to problem-solve without gutting a system is a mark of well-rounded intelligence.
You can be a leader without being competent, creative, or a good problem solver. But you absolutely cannot be a good leader without being a good communicator.
Elon Musk is a terrible communicator. But he’s been able to fabricate an image that, despite all the nonsense he spews, serves as the backbone to support his five-year-old Marvel fan-fic ideas and pass them off as “innovative” and “out of the box.”
He relies on the myth of the “hero’s journey” to ensnare his supporters because he knows that, above all, most people don’t crave freedom as much as they crave a hero to protect and guide them. And he’s always the first one to raise his hand for that role.
SYSTEMS OF PEOPLE. That’s what I’d like to leave you with today. PEOPLE like YOURSELF. These Silicon Valley men will never understand the concept of democracy, or society, or community —all SYSTEMS OF PEOPLE.
Because when Musk and his peers look at people, they see “customers”—ants to buy their products, their lies and continue to feed their bank accounts.
Now, let’s talk about Tesla for a second. It’s true that Tesla revolutionized the electric vehicle industry. But let’s not pretend Tesla is still leading innovation. The company has stagnated in recent years—its cars haven’t meaningfully improved, yet its stock continues to soar. Why? Branding, speculation, and the myth of infallibility surrounding Musk.
Tesla is finally making updates now—but not because of some noble pursuit of innovation. It’s because competitors like Rivian, Lucid, and legacy brands like Ford and Hyundai are surpassing them. Tesla is reacting, not leading. And that tells you everything you need to know.
We don’t need second best to “reinvent” democracy for us.
Democracy is not a perfect system by any means, but whatever needs to be fixed WE, THE PEOPLE will fix TOGETHER.
We do not need a self-proclaimed good to come as save us.
I am not naive to the fact that Elon and his rich friends see us PEOPLE as obstacles to their master plans. And that they just want us to get out of the way. Well, babycakes, the feeling is mutual.
Now get out of our way, or we’ll get you out, democracy-style.
SYSTEMS OF PEOPLE. Let’s go.
